Next week will officially be a month since I have moved away from the town I have only known as home for the past twenty-one years of my life.
I must say, the first couple weeks were hard. I was in a kinda funk/depressed state because I missed my family, friends, fur-babes, home, routines.. I went from a town where a lot of people knew me to a place where hardly anyone knows my awesomeness self yet. Also, for the first week my room was in shambles with all of my personal belongings stuffed into it.. but after a ridiculous amount of runs to Target, some extreme organizing where I wish I had the magic touch of the Home Edit ladies, and some self-teaching cooking and putting together furniture moments. I finally got an end result that I wanted.
Apart from my ten trips from Target (yes you heard right), that were in a span of just two weeks... I have had many outings exploring some of the different places around me, fulfilled one of many of my lifetime wishes by going to Universal for the first time in my life and started my first semester at my new school after my six month academic break between my associates and bachelors degree.
Now that I am in Week 4 of being here, I can honestly say I am settled in. Even though I miss my old life I feel content with my choice I made about this exciting new chapter and can't wait to see what the next couple of months has for me academically and personally.
